Default Elite Charm Animal

Now, this is just a suggestion, but I reckon that with an Elite version of Charm Animal, you could raise your pet's level to, say, 26. Or possibly get some more powerful pets. I mean, if MMs can have a level 26 Flesh Golem, rangers should have access to this ability. Now this is just a vague idea. Tell me what you think.

I suppose that's a good idea since a beast master is kinda like a Minion Master

Or what about this. an Elite charm animal that lets the ranger collect multiple pets. maybe up to 3, like a wolf pack. Turning the Ranger into a Beast master...

Hmmm, I dont think having an increased level cap would be such a good idea, but maybe an elite skill that lets you have a pet, heal it, and res it all in one, like combining confort and charm.

I got an idea for an Elite Charm animal Skill and it is. Charm pack: Elite skill, 10,5 ,0 Same as charm animal but ranges from 1-4 pets (So 1 pet for every 4 levels in beast mastery.)

4 Pets O.O I'd say 2 would be good ... Imagine if you have an HA battle ... have like 2 Thumpers 1 CG 1 Poisen 2 monks with this elite ....

6 humans + 24 pets= 30 foes O.O that would be a little overdoing it. Although it would roxors your pants.

I'd go with "Why Me"'s Idea but if you really wanted to suggest an elite charm animal if definately can't be 4 animals .. 3 would even be overdoing it.

Pets dont require upkeep like minions so a skill like this could only ever go up to 2 pets, and even then be halved in power. Cos beasts can be powerful (not amazing searing/glowing/searing/glowing powerful, but I digress) and 24 funny farts in space aint a laugh for anyone. KNOW WHAT IM SAYIN'!

Sounds good with a few provisions as MM's have been mentioned time and time again.

You have to have 16 BM to have effective pets, the less beast mastery you have the lower the level of your pets - Like MM's

Two thirds of pet skills are removed from rangers, still giving you a lot more functionality to keep in line with idea of only having 3 pets instead of 10 minions.

Pets gain more and more health degen over time and you have to constantly heal them even while not in battle. Like MM's

Pets can only be used in certain areas, just as MM's can.

you would have to balance multiple pets much like they had done in star wars galaxies with the creature handler profession. The level cap would still be 20, but you can have multiple pets to reach that cap. example. 1 lvl 20 pet or 2 lvl 10 pets, or 4 lvl 5 pets, 1 lvl 15 and 1 lvl 5.

The level cap would remain the same, but hwo you reach it could vary.

Well seeing as how you are comparing a pet to an MM flesh golem then the non elite version of charm animal should only allow the pet to level 18 because the minion masters minions can't be higher than 18.

While I agree that if MM's can have 20+ then the Rangers should at least have the same privelage I'm not sure it would really make all that much difference.

What I would like is (as above) an elite skill (or hell, a modified normal skill) that is a charm and comfort all in one.

A MM can only have 1 +20 and it's the flesh Golem which has 0 armor and a natural life degen.

Making a Pet that can survive extensive battle if you got the right skills equipped a lvl 20+ one would be waaay overpowered.

/notsigned coz it's imbalance

What will Pet Attack skills do when you use them?

Having mltiple pets would be like doubling an effect with the same energy.

More than one pet would mean that Pet Attack skills would have to cost more... like 'X energy per pet'.

Its pretty impracticle for one thing, when you have just charm animal instead of elite charm animal equipped would it be the level 26/multiple pets or the level 20 one?

If you had multiple pets would you be able to do 3 pet attacks at once, potentially dealing 200 damage/3 knockdowns? Horrible balance issues.

And pet degen lol.. what are your pets rotting? -.-

What if the elite version, allows u to control a stronger type of pet like say a drake or a imp (only lvl 20 one ofc)
